APATISIIWIN SKILLS DEVELOPMENT (ASD) TO HOST REGIONAL CAREER FAIR IN CHISASIBI

The highly anticipated event will take place on October 27-28, 2026

Mistissini, Eeyou Istchee (February 19, 2026)

Apatisiiwin Skills Development (ASD) is thrilled to announce the return of the popular ASD Career Fair, to be held on October 27-28, 2026, in Chisasibi. Organized by ASD in collaboration with the Cree School Board and the Cree Nation of Chisasibi, this regional event will bring Eeyou Istchee’s workforce face-to-face with employers and educational institutions, injecting new energy into the job hunt and helping people track down the relationships, opportunities, and skills they need to succeed.

After holding its last Regional Career Fair virtually in 2021, ASD looks forward to bringing back a dynamic, interactive in-person event in 2026. The vibrant agenda will feature hands-on workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities. Student tours, daytime activities, and an evening banquet will be offered, and an online platform will be made available to those unable to attend in Chisasibi.

As part of the planning for this event, ASD has launched an exciting theme contest with a $500 gift card prize. The contest will run until February 28, 2026. Full contest details and the submission form are available at Theme Contest | ASD Career Fair 2026. In addition to entering the theme contest, ASD encourages job seekers and employers to share any suggestions or creative ideas they may have ahead of the 2026 ASD Career Fair. Businesses and organizations are also invited to reach out regarding sponsorship opportunities, with many custom packages and opportunities available to enhance visibility at this wide-reaching regional event.
