The Cree-Led EcoFund supports community-led environmental projects across Eeyou Istchee. If you’re ready to lead a project that protects the land, water, or wildlife—this is your opportunity.
The EcoFund supports projects under three main streams:
Nature Conservation (e.g. habitat restoration, species protection)
Water Protection (e.g. watershed health, aquatic monitoring)
Climate Adaptation (e.g. erosion control, local resilience planning)
Projects must take place within Eeyou Istchee and align with Cree values and stewardship practices.
You are eligible to apply if you are:
A Cree community or community department
A Cree organization
A Registered Cree business (with NEQ or listed in the Cree Nation Business Registry)
